Sound Freaq sfq-02 or 03 will not pair with 4th gen AppleTv

emehrkay Feb 22, 2016 02:13PM CST

Neither device will show up when I go to browse for bluetooth devices to add to the Apple Tv. However, they will show up for all other bluetooth-enabled devices. Is this an AppleTv limitation or am I simply not doing something correctly?

Thanks

Thank you for being a Soundfreaq customer, and I'm sorry to hear you are experiencing pairing issues with the Apple TV. The Apple TV does have Bluetooth capabilities, and will connect to any A2DP speaker or headphone.

Please let us know where in the steps you are experiencing issue: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT205302

Does the pairing indicator light on the front of the Soundfreaq blink rapidly when you press Pair?

We haven't received any feedback in regards to pairing with the Apple TV, so we also suggest contacting Apple support directly for more help, as this sounds like an Apple compatibility issue if you are able to pair the Soundfreaq speaker to other devices.

Please do let us know your troubleshooting results, and if you have any other questions.

I am having the same problem as Lisa. It gets stopped at Step 3. The Apple TV is unable to locate the sfq-03 device. The pairing light blinks rapidly when 'Pair' is pressed.

Jason, thank you for being a Soundfreaq customer, and I'm sorry to hear you are also experiencing the same issue with pairing the Soundfreaq to the Apple TV.

To verify that it is not a defect with the SFQ-03, are you able to pair other devices to the speaker, such as a smartphone or tablet?

If the issue persists with other devices, it is most likely a hardware defect with the Soundfreaq. Please try resetting the speaker by unplugging it for fifteen seconds before powering it back on, then re-pairing from the beginning.

If the issue only persists with the Apple TV, then we suggest contacting Apple support directly for more troubleshooting tips.

We appreciate you taking the time to work with us. Please do let us know your troubleshooting results, and any questions, please let us know.
