I received this speaker for Christmas and love it BUT it doesn't charge my iphone when I connect the iphone usb charging cord. I've tried it both when the device is plugged in and when it is running on battery.Help!

Janet, thank you for being a Soundfreaq customer, and I'm sorry to hear you are unable to charge external devices on your new Sound Kick. Do you have any other small electronic devices you could try charging via the USB port?
The volume does need to be lowered to 70% for the Kick to charge external devices, but this is for when the Kick is running on battery only. I understand you are unable to charge the phone when the speaker is plugged in as well. In that case, unfortunately, we do recommend replacing the speaker all together.
Please send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org with your shipping address, serial number located on the bottom of the Soundfreaq, and the color of the speaker.
We will email you a prepaid FedEx label to return the speaker. Once we receive it, we will send a replacement unit.
