Brenda, thank you for being a Soundfreaq customer, and we'll be happy to explain the functionality of the speaker to you. It sounds like you own the model SFQ-07 Sound Spot.

First, most of your questions are covered here in the manual,, but I know that can take awhile to sift through, so please allow me to answer them here for you.

- When charging, the white indicator light on the Power button will blink at a slow rate when charging is complete. Please see page 7 of the manual for the charging color codes.

- It takes 3 hours to charge. The battery lasts for 7 hours.

- The USB Power Out is for charging external devices, like a smart phone. The USB Power In is for charging the Soundfreaq.

- AUX IN is the most commonly used port, it is for connecting an audio device (that doesn't have Bluetooth) to the speaker. Please use the included audio cable to connect from the audio device's headphone jack to the AUX IN port to play music from the audio device. Please use the playback controls on the audio device to control music.

- Flat, Warm, Bright controls the sound mode of the audio and can be used to enhance the listening experience. The best mode for different types of music is dependent on the listener, and we do not have a recommendation for which setting to choose. We recommend flipping the switch while a song is playing to find the best sound for you.

- The left two buttons are the Vol +/- buttons.

Any other questions, please let us know.
