soundkick problem

I just bought a Soundkick yesterday, charged it for almost 20 hours, and tried it this morning with my phone connected via the aux jack. It worked great! However, when I unplugged it from the electrical source, it immediately went dead. It won't play unless plugged in to an electrical outlet. Help?

Unfortunately, based on your description, it sounds like a hardware issue and your unit will need to be replaced. If you purchased it in store, we recommend exchanging it at the retailer for the fastest turnaround time. Hey there,

unfortunately I do have the same kind of problem.
I bought my soundkick at Amazon.de (Germany) but I am now living in England. Therefore it wouldn't make sense to send it back to Amazon. Is there any chance to get the device repaired/replaced within the UK?
