manual

Where can I locate a manual so I can trouble shoot my Sound rise unit?
The radio volume just takes off on its own and radio stations cannot be adjusted.
Is this radio running off of a battery and the AC is just a trickle charger?
How do you open the battery compartment

Jaxson, thank you for being a Soundfreaq customer, and please know all manuals can be found online here: http://userguides.soundfreaq.com/

For troubleshooting records, do you own the SFQ-05 Sound Rise or the SFQ-08 Sound Rise? You can check the model number located on the bottom of the speaker.

Regardless, please know the Rise is not battery operated, and must be plugged in to work. The battery you are referring to located on the bottom of the speaker is for back up power only--in case of a short power outage, the battery will allow the clock to retain all settings such that you won't have to reset the clock.

However, in regards to the volume changing by itself, and the inability to adjust stations, this may be a hardware issue with the buttons where the buttons are compressed constantly.

If you haven't done so already, please try resetting the speaker by unplugging it for fifteen seconds before powering it back on.

If the issue persists, unfortunately, we do recommend replacing the speaker all together. If the speaker was purchased recently, we recommend exchanging it directly with the retailer for the fastest turnaround time. If that is not possible, we are happy to set up an exchange directly, free of charge via mail, if you are located in the US.

Thank you for your patience, and I apologize for the inconvenience. Any questions, please let us know.
