Will, thank you for being a Soundfreaq customer, and I'm sorry to hear you are experiencing music source issues. If you are able to pair with your phone, then you should be able to play any music or audio that is not voice calls.
Please let us know which smartphone you are using to pair with the Soundfreaq. I understand you cannot play music off YouTube--does music play from your phone when you are on YouTube? Are you able to play music from other apps on your phone, such as form your native music library? If audio is playing from your phone's native speakers, please make sure the output source is set to "Soundfreaq" via the AirPlay button for iOS devices.
If you have access to any other smart devices or computers, please try pairing with those as well to see if the issue persists.
