SFQ-06 The power and source buttons seem to be swapped.

Alberto Mar 18, 2015 09:14PM CDT

The same problem the same place of https://soundfreaq.desk.com/customer/portal/questions/955855-sfq-6-the-power-and-source-buttons-seem-to-be-swapped-

Just got home from Target. After plugging in I tried to press power to turn the unit on. Nothing happens. Just happened to brush the source button and the power came on. It seems I can power the unit off and on with the source buttons and the power button acts as the source button. None of the other buttons function at all. Can this be reset somehow or is this a return situation?

But the new rules of Target they don't receive back.

Serial number 130500007

Alberto, thank you for being a Soundfreaq customer, and I'm sorry to hear you are experiencing button issues on your new Platform 2.

Based on your description, it does indeed sound like a hardware issue. We would suggest resetting the speaker by unplugging it for fifteen seconds before powering it back on. If the issue persists, we recommend exchanging the unit directly with Target for the fastest turnaround time. I believe they do take returns on electronics within a certain number of days, if you purchased the speaker recently.

If a return is not possible, we would be happy to set up an exchange with you directly, free of charge under our one year warranty. Please just send us a private inquiry, so we may start collecting your contact information for our warranty replacement process.

Thank you for your patience, and we apologize for the inconvenience. Any questions, please let us know.

I am having the same exact issue. I returned the speaker and bought another one... and guess what, same problem AGAIN. I tried unplugging it and plugging it into a different plug (although I can't imagine that would make a difference) Of course, problem persists. This seems like more than just a fluke at this point.

Probably giving up on soundfreaq as a brand.

Cassidy, thank you for being a Soundfreaq customer, and I'm sorry to hear you experienced the button issue with two units. I understand your frustration and disappointment in our brand.

If you are willing to give us another chance, we can set you up with an exchange directly via FedEx mail. Based on your description, it sounds like there is a defect with a batch of production units, and if you have a chance, we'd like to discuss options to make amends for your troubles, and to collect information about your unit, including the serial number located on the bottom of the speaker on a white barcode sticker.

Thank you for your patience, and I apologize for the inconvenience. Any questions, please let us know.
