Press the 'PAIR' button on your Soundfreaq unit to put it into pairing mode. The indicator light will blink rapidly. If you hold the 'PAIR' button, the pairing process will be cancelled. 4. While your Soundfreaq is in pairing mode, select Home > Menu > Settings > Wireless & networks > Bluetooth settings on your Android device. Make sure that Bluetooth is on and that the two devices are within a 33' (10m) range. 5. Select 'Scan for devices.' Once your Android device detects your Soundfreaq and displays its name, select it from the list. Your Android device will say that your Soundfreaq is 'Connected to media audio' and your Soundfreaq indicator light will blink slowly, indicating that they are Paired and Connected. 6. Choose your audio, begin playback, and enjoy.

  • How do I connect my iPhone or iPod touch via Bluetooth?

    1. Press the 'POWER' button to turn on your Soundfreaq unit. The indicator light will illuminate. 2. Select Bluetooth using the 'SOURCE' button on your Soundfreaq (skip this step for the Sound Kick). 3. Press the 'PAIR' button on your Soundfreaq unit to put it into pairing mode. The indicator light will blink rapidly. If you hold the 'PAIR' button, the pairing process will be cancelled. 4. While your Soundfreaq is in pairing mode, select Settings > General > Bluetooth on your iPhone or iPod touch. Make sure that Bluetooth is on and that the two devices are within a 33' (10m) range. 5. Once your iPhone or iPod touch detects your Soundfreaq and displays its name, select it from the list, and the status will change from Not Paired to Connected. 6. Choose your audio, begin playback, and enjoy.

  • How do I connect my Mac via Bluetooth?

    1. Press the 'POWER' button to turn on your Soundfreaq. The indicator light will illuminate. 2. On your Soundfreaq, select Bluetooth using the 'SOURCE' button (not necessary on Sound Kick). 3. Press the 'PAIR' button on your Soundfreaq unit to put it into pairing mode. The indicator light will blink rapidly. If you hold the 'PAIR' button, the pairing process will be cancelled. 4. On your Mac, select the Apple icon in the upper left corner of the screen, then choose System Preferences from the drop down menu. 5. In System Preferences, select Bluetooth. Click the checkbox 'Show Bluetooth status in the menu bar' and then click the '+' in the bottom left to launch the Bluetooth Setup Assistant. 6. In the Bluetooth Setup Assistant, select your Soundfreaq from the list of devices (the type should be “Audio”) and click “Continue” and wait for the confirmation screen. 7. Click the Bluetooth icon in the menu bar at the top of the screen, select your Soundfreaq and then select “Use as Audio Device (Stereo)”. After a few seconds your audio will come out of your Soundfreaq. If not, try selecting “Use as Audio Device (Stereo)” again.

  • How do I connect my Windows PC to my Soundfreaq?

    Soundfreaq speakers use the standard A2DP Bluetooth wireless protocol and the driver is provided by the computer OS (Windows) or Bluetooth chip manufacturer. The first step is to confirm that you have an A2DP-compatible Bluetooth chip installed in your PC and then check for the latest drivers that supports A2DP. In some cases, you may have to remove the driver and then reinstall it. Here is a setup guide for connecting to a Windows PC. Finally, it may help to re-boot your PC and attempt the pairing process again. If your PC does not have A2DP-compatible Bluetooth chip installed, you can still connect to your Soundfreaq using the 3.5mm Aux input.

  • Will my iPad, iPhone, or iPod charge when docked?

    Yes, your iOS device (even your iPad) will charge at full speed when docked to your Sound Step, Sound Step Recharge, or Sound Stack, even if it is not the selected audio source. Please note that Sound Platform SFQ-01 models require an adapter cable to charge (at a reduced rate) and play iPads through the dock. Here is one option.

    The light should flash rapidly when you press the Pair Button on your Sound Platform to indicate that you're in pairing mode. Try these steps: Unplug your Platform from the wall Turn your Platform around so you're looking at the back of the unit Flip open the door on the bottom right Remove the BT module (even though it says DO NOT REMOVE) Wait at least ten seconds, then firmly re-insert the BT module Plug your Platform back in and turn it on Select Bluetooth using the Source button Press the Pair button ​ The light should flash slowly to indicate that you're in pairing mode.
