Soundfreaq SFQ-02 Sound Step FM stopped working

Jefferson Dec 07, 2015 01:14PM CST

Soundfreaq SFQ-02 Sound Step FM stopped working. It worked fine with my iPhone 5s until a couple of months ago. I cannot connect the iPhone 5s directly to the Sound Step because the Sound Step has the old wider connector. I have deleted re installed the black app and still nothing. Should I try to install the blue app. There are no controls for the FM on the dock itself. I use my Sound Step primarily for the FM. Please help!

Jefferson, thank you for being a Soundfreaq customer, and I'm sorry you're no longer able to access the FM radio on your iPhone. I understand FM is your primary source for music, and that you own the Sound Step with the 30-pin connector. Therefore, the black app is the only way to access the radio. We do not suggest downloading the blue app as that is for a different model.

If you have not done so already, please try resetting the Bluetooth connection by first unplugging the Sound Step. Next, please remove "Sound Step" from Bluetooth > Devices on the iPhone before re-pairing from the beginning. Then launch the app to see if the Source button returns. We also suggest deleting and re-installing the app, but I see you have done so already.

If you have access to a different smart device, such as another smartphone or tablet, please try pairing and downloading the black app there to see if the issue persists.

Thank you for your patience, and I apologize for the inconvenience. Any questions, please let us know.
