Richard, thank you for your interest in Soundfreaq, and while the Sound Rise Lightning was planned for this month, due to user feedback its release has been placed on hold. We have another alarm dock model in the works that will replace the Sound Rise. The new model will not have a dock and will be Bluetooth only, much like the Sound Platform 2.

If you are still interested in an alarm dock from Soundfreaq, your current option is charging your Lightning iOS device via the USB on the back of the Sound Rise.

Thank you for your patience, and I apologize for the inconvenience. Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Now that is annoying!
I've put off the purchase of a new clock/radio/iphone dock waiting for this to be released.
Having to use USB cables is definitely sub-optimal. While it may be fine for some kid who doesn't care about keeping things neat and organized, it is not an acceptable option.
Looks like I'll be moving on to someone else's product.

Jonathan, thank you for your interest in Soundfreaq, and I understand your disappointment with the lack of a dock radio. We encourage our users to explore wireless listening via Bluetooth, but certainly see the advantages of docked charging. For your needs, we can only suggest using a Lightning adapter on the current Sound Rise, which is not recommended as it blocks the clock on the radio. In that case, we do agree the best option is to look into other speaker brands.

I apologize I could not be of more help. Please let us know if you have any other questions.

re; Sound Rise w/Lightning Connector.

Lisa, truly a disappointment! Have waited for 9 months for this product to now find it will not be made. What is going on there?

Do you have a release date on the alarm dock model that will replace the Sound Rise?
Richard.

Richard, thank you for your interest in Soundfreaq, and I certainly understand your frustration with the scraping the plans on the Rise with Lightning. I apologize for the inconvenience, and certainly appreciate your willingness to give us another chance. I do not have a more exact date for the release of the next alarm dock model, only that it will be some time next Spring. Hope that helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions.

I'm with Richard on this.
It's a shame they canceled the dock. I've been waiting a year for this one also. I would like to know what user feedback has made them scrap the plan. There are no great lightning docks available and this was going to be a good one. I would have expected it to be somewhat popular since lightning connectors are here to stay.

Gustaf, thank you for your interest in Soundfreaq, and appreciate your favorable feedback, and we're disappointed that we won't be able to deliver on that Lightning dock. Instead, we will be releasing in early 2014 an updated model which builds upon user feedback. Instead of docking the iOS to set an alarm, the alarm can be set through Bluetooth to reach non-Apple users as well. I apologize I could not be of more help, and please let me know if you have any other questions.

I'm confused since I purchased the Sound Rise with Lightning Connector from theshoppingchannel.com a couple weeks ago. I'm still waiting for it to arrive. Are you saying they are advertising and selling something that doesn't exist?

Michael, thank you being a Soundfreaq customer, and I apologize for the delay while I checked into your case. I can verify that still we do not have any Sound Rise Lightning orders in the US from any of our distributors, which means it cannot be purchased in the US currently. Most likely this will be shipped directly from Hong Kong where the speakers are produced. We'd love to honor our one-year warranty on all Soundfreaq speakers, but please note if you do run into a hardware issue and you are located in the US, we won't be able to replace the product completely. But if the product can be fixed by our support engineers, we can certainly refurbish the unit.

Hope that helps, please let us know if you have any other questions.

Groannnnn.....after doing too much research for something that has BOTH a dock and Bluetooth capability and great sound, I was so excited for the Sound Rise Lightning. Disappointing.

Hudson, thank you for your interest in Soundfreaq, and I do apologize for the disappointment we have caused. I understand you have waited a long time for this model and that a Lightning adapter is exactly what you're looking for. I have forwarded your feedback to the team in hopes that they may release a Lightning model in the future. But at this time, to reiterate, only a Bluetooth and AUX model is in the works.
