Soud kick dies after a minute

Laura Sep 15, 2015 11:01AM CDT

My sound kick was working fine until yesterday... that after a minute playing it just stop if I press the on/off button the system will not start anymore. It does not have issues if is connected.
I bought it like two months ago and the USB charger never works either for android, so I believe that was because can't charge a Android, now I not that sure...

Laura, thank you for being a Soundfreaq customer, and I'm sorry to hear the unit powers off by itself. If it only occurs when the speaker is running on battery, it is possibly a dead battery.

Please send us a private inquiry with your address and the serial number located on the bottom of the speaker on a white barcode sticker.

In regards to USB charging of your Android, does the issue persist when the Kick is plugged in or running on battery? When it is running on battery, the Sound Kick must be set to 70% volume. You will know that is the case when the LED battery indicator on the back of the unit is green. https://soundfreaq.desk.com/customer/portal/articles/900482-how-do-i-tell-how-much-battery-life-is-left-on-my-sound-kick-

Please do let us know your troubleshooting results. Thank you for your patience, and I apologize for your inconvenience.

Any questions, please let us know.

I am having the same problem, and it dies within a minute even if I have it plugged. This was bought a few months ago and it never really worked well.

It was a gift and I do not have a receipt.

Rachel, thank you for being a Soundfreaq customer, and I'm sorry to hear the Sound Kick is turning off by itself, even when charging.

Unfortunately, we do recommend replacing your speaker all together. I understand that it was a gift, but that is not an issue, we can still get you up and running anyway.

Please just send us a private message at support@soundfreaq.com with:

- How long you've owned your unit before the issue started occurring.
- Serial number located on the bottom of the unit on a white barcode sticker.
- Your shipping address and phone number for delivery.
- Color of your Soundfreaq.

We stand behind our products, and if under our warranty for units purchased new, we cover all charges including shipping and repairs for customers located in the US.

Thank you for taking the time to work with us, and we apologize for the inconvenience. Any questions, please let us know.
