Can't get the FM source to show up on my devices!

Leslie Sep 01, 2015 06:37PM CDT

I have the Sound Step Recharge, with the lightning connector. No matter what I do I just can't get the FM radio to appear! I have docked the devices, iPad Air 2 and iPhone 6. I have tried Bluetooth, but I already know the FM function only works while docked. (Why this limitation???) okay, now I see after messing around that the remote app is separate and different from the one with the FM access. That's very confusing since they have the same name.

Leslie, thank you for contacting us again, and just to make sure, were you able to get it to work? It sounds like you found the correct app, and I do apologize for the inconvenience.

You are looking for the blue Soundfreaq app, and not the black Remote app.

This change is due to updates in Apple's Bluetooth protocol, where they changed what could be controlled via Bluetooth when the SFQ-02L was released. While you used to be able to access features like FM radio wirelessly, now Apple requires that the iOS device be docked. As a result, we had to create a new app.

I apologize I could not be of more help. Any other questions, please let us know.
