Whistling noise

I just got the Soundfreak Sound Platform 2, pulled it out of the box and plugged it into the wall. Immediately there was a whistling noise. I changed sources - still there. I paired my device - still there. Played FM radio - still there.

Is there anything else I could check or is it just some bad hardware?

Jonathan, thank you for being a Soundfreaq customer, and I'm sorry to hear you are experiencing audio issues on your new Sound Platform 2. If the whistling is occurring on all sources, it does sound like a hardware defect and your unit will need to be replaced. Our best troubleshooting suggestion would be to reset the speaker by unplugging the unit for fifteen seconds before powering it back on.
