Sound kick not playing sound when connected to radio apps but works with itunes

Tonya Aug 14, 2015 02:50PM CDT

Wondering why the sound kick is playing back sound when connected by Bluetooth from iTunes library but not from radio apps (in particular air1) I am on an iPhone 6 but my iPad 2 is having the same issue. It used to work but it does not anymore.

Tonya, thank you for being a Soundfreaq customer, and I'm sorry to hear you are experiencing Bluetooth playback issues. This is unusual indeed, and Bluetooth audio usually works on all apps or none! I understand it is not working with radio apps--please try testing with other apps as well, including YouTuble, Pandora, or Spotify.

Just to verify, is the issue persisting on both your iPhone and iPad? For the radio app, is the sound coming from the smart device's native speakers, or is there no sound at all?

Depending on the app, there will be an AirPlay button (a rectangle with a triangle in it). Please click that to make sure "Sound Kick" is selected as the audio output source.

If that still does not resolve the issue, please try resetting the Bluetooth connection by removing "Sound Kick" from Bluetooth > Devices before re-pairing from the beginning.

Thank you for taking the time to troubleshoot with us, and any questions, please let us know.
