Soundfreaq Sound Kick SFQ-04 will not pair

My 2 1/2 year old unit will not pair with anything. When the pairing button is pressed, the pairing button blinks rapidly, but the unit never shows up on any Bluetooth device. I have tried 2 iPods (different generations), an iPhone 6 and a Samsung Galaxy S6. Guessing this unit is trash, and that I am a victim of planned obsolescence, but thought I would check with you first.

Chuck, thank you for being a Soundfreaq customer, and I'm sorry to hear you are experiencing pairing issues with the Kick.

Please try resetting the unit by unplugging and reinserting the battery located on the bottom of the speaker. To access the battery, a screwdriver is required to open the battery compartment.

If the issues persists and "Sound Kick" never appears on any of your devices, unfortunately, we do recommend replacing the speaker all together.

Please know while your unit is out of warranty, we do offer refurbish options at a charge.

I had the same problem, unit about three years old. The solution suggested by Lisa works and unit is now synced with all iPhone and iPad again. Playing music which is great. Thanks
