Steve, thank you for being a Soundfreaq customer, and I'm sorry to hear your Soundfreaq is shutting off by itself while music is playing. To better troubleshoot the issue, do you own the model SFQ-04 Sound Kick? You can check the model on the bottom of the speaker.
If it is the Sound Kick, unfortunately it is a firmware defect, and we recommend replacing your speaker all together. Please let us know if this is a new out of box issue, or how long you've owned the speaker before the issue occurred.
Please also send us a private inquiry so we may start collecting your contact information for the warranty replacement process. If you purchased it recently in store, we recommend exchanging it directly for the fastest turnaround time. If you purchased it through our Online Store, or through an online partner retailer, please do let us know and we will set you up with a replacement via mail, free of charge for customers in the US.
